Chandigarh Design School Founder Leads FDP at Maharaja Agrasen University

Chandigarh, January 15, 2025Vineet Raj Kapoor, Founder of Chandigarh Design School (CDS), was the keynote resource person at Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi, for a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “E-Content Development and MOOCs” held from 14–20 January 2025. Organized in partnership with the Electronics & ICT Academy, NIT Patna, this FDP aimed to empower educators with advanced skills in digital pedagogy and online content creation.

Kapoor conducted two core sessions:

  1. Engaging Students in MOOCs and Online Learning Environments.
  2. Designing Slides and Graphics for MOOCs.

He also delivered a surprise workshop on using interactive platforms like Mentimeter and AHASlides to elevate virtual learning experiences.

 


Empowering Educators with Digital Pedagogy

The FDP was designed to address the growing need for high-quality e-content and the adoption of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Dr. Pradeep Walia, the FDP coordinator, remarked:
“This program focuses on equipping faculty with digital tools and techniques to enhance the teaching-learning process through innovative and engaging content.”

Vineet Raj Kapoor, India’s Lead Expert for Industrial Design Technology at WorldSkills, provided faculty members with practical strategies to engage students and deliver visually impactful presentations.

Kapoor shared:
“Training educators is an enriching experience, especially as we work to close the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in India’s education system. I look forward to sharing more insights in my upcoming book, ‘SOLVXD: Think in Steps.’”
