Chandigarh Design School Leads India to Top 5 Finish at WorldSkills 2024 France

Chandigarh, September 14, 2024 – Chandigarh Design School Founder Vineet Raj Kapoor represented India as Expert Lead for Industrial Design Technology (IDT) at the prestigious WorldSkills 2024, held in Lyon, France. Kapoor’s significant contributions as part of the Skill Management Team helped India achieve a Top 5 position in the IDT category, showcasing the growing global competitiveness of Indian talent.


Driving Excellence at WorldSkills 2024

Vineet Raj Kapoor, also the Co-Founder of SXILL, arrived in Lyon on September 5, 2024, to fulfill his duties as Expert Lead, a role critical to the smooth execution of the IDT competition. The Skill Management Team, comprising experts from China, Taiwan, Korea, and India, ensures the highest standards of competition through effective collaboration and innovative problem-solving.

During the competition, Kapoor:

  • Proposed impactful solutions for marking schemes and operational challenges, many of which were immediately implemented.
  • Raised critical issues to the Competition Chief Delegate (CCD) without disrupting workflows, maintaining a balance between immediate needs and long-term improvements.
  • Personally mentored and motivated competitors, ensuring they performed at their peak despite high-pressure scenarios.

Kapoor’s contributions during WorldSkills 2024 have positioned him as a nominee for Chief Expert for WorldSkills 2026, Shanghai, with elections to be held soon.
